My name is Harpan Budi Santoso, but my friends call me "panoet". I dont know why they call me that :)I'm 23 years old, Indonesian, and currently working in one of government agency.
I graduated from high school in 2005 and continue studying information technology in the year 2007, but I dropped out in second year because of work.
My hobby is anything that relevant with music and computer. I love music and I like to playing that. Guitar, drum, keyboard, that all I can play (I only said "can", not "proficient"). Computer, I love it too, especially programming. And if we talk about it, I'll talk a lot about JAVA programming. My favorite programming language. I also can do little about networking, since I've joined CCNA Network when in college.
Blogging? I don't remember when I've first start to blogging. Its about 2 years ago, certainly since I've study in college.
There are a unique fact here, about me! I can't operating computer well before I study in college. At that time I can only operate the computer for typing. Its sounds very strange, if look at now I can make desktop programming, website, blog, etc :D
I think just it that I want to tell you about me now (maybe someday I'll add more). But, there are few questions you may ask :
What operating system I use?
Ubuntu Linux, currently Lucid Linx (10.04). I've started using Linux on my live about 2 years ago. And absolutely Linux, no other operating system! Why using Linux?
Actually there are one main reason that make me deciding to migrate to Linux (I use Windows before), I remember when I was given college assignment to make a program, a lot of my friend "hack" that and we got same grade. Or even I got the worse from them! Since that, I become know what Bill Gates feel :) And I decided to migrate to Linux. But, now I really love Linux. Because there are many benefits of Linux compared to Windows. How about my computer I use?
Just old laptop, ACER 5052ANWXMI. AMD Turion 64, 1GB RAM, 80GB HD, Sierra 881p as my modem and other peripheral devices. Old, but can supply you information that you need :) Want to buy me a new one? That's all for now. I'll update this if needed. Maybe have another question? Leave a comment and I'll glad to answer it!
